sleep
The world still turns as I sleep
and whoever lies in the next room
still sits awake
Wetness falls, and I am oblivious
People celebrate in the streets and I hear not a thing.
The world still breathes as I sleep
Rise and fall, her chest shakes silently
And yet, nothing moves me
Time trickles by and nudges me to awake
Because there is so much that is going on
Nothing.
